Co-Founder and CEO
Timothy Glass, Co-founder, has served as our Chief Executive Officer and a member of our Board of Directors since 2001. Tim has over 20 years experience in fund raising and building organizations from the ground up to commercialize new and innovative concepts. Recent organizations that Tim has built have developed products and services for the internet, hardware, software and wireless industries. From 1998 to 2000, Tim co-founded and served as the President and CEO of iWare, an internet advertising company that was sold to eMachines. From 1996 to 1998, Tim co-founded and served as President of Cybermeals (now Food.com), an internet company that aggregated online restaurants for delivery and take out meals, and raised approximately $30 million in debt and equity financing.
Co-Founder and CTO
Bryan Cupps, Co-founder, has served as our Chief Technology Officer since 2001 and a member of our Board of Directors since 2001. Bryan has over 20 years of experience in developing innovative technologies for the internet, hardware, software and wireless industries. Bryan is the innovator of the DualCor platform, and has eight patents pending on this unique architecture. From 1998 to 2000, Bryan co-founded and served as the Chief Technology Officer of iWare, an internet advertising company that was sold to eMachines. From 1996 to 1998, Bryan co-founded and served as Chief Technology Officer of Cybermeals (now Food.com), an internet company. Bryan designed and implemented the Cybermeals e-commerce site which utilized various technologies such as WebObjects, Enterprise Object Frameworks middleware software from Apple Computer, geo-coded mapping software from Mapquest, Sybase Database and Dialogic Voice and Fax Cards. This technology was archived in the Smithsonian Institute, Inventions of the 20th Century, Computer Science. Bryan was also granted a Geo-coding, geomapping patent by the U.S. Patent Office in 1997 on behalf of food.com.
President and COO
Rob Howe has served as our President and COO since May, 2006. Rob has over 20 years of experience in developing and implementing operational and strategic changes in high tech and consumer electronics companies. From September 2000 to May 2006, Rob was involved in numerous consulting engagements, most recently with the Sightline Group. From November 1997 to September 2000, Rob served as the President of CompUSA PC, Inc. Among his accomplishments were opening and operating a build-to-order manufacturing facility, and implementing SAP. Rob was an executive in IBM's Worldwide Consumer PC Division, NEC's Computer Systems Division, AT&T GIS Worldwide PC Marketing Division and at Dell Computer Corporation, where he was Senior Vice President of Dell North America.
Vice President of Operations
Robert Rose has served as our Vice President of Operations since December 2005. Robert has over 25 years of executive experience directing manufacturing, supply chain management, logistics, service and customer service across a broad range of high-tech companies. From November 2003 to December 2005, Bob consulted in numerous projects and was heavily active in charity organizations. From November 2000 to October 2003, Bob served as Vice President and General Manager for Systemax Manufacturing, a computer manufacturing and distribution company. At Systemax he executed a dramatic turnaround of their manufacturing operations, implemented a lean culture through Six Sigma processes, and positioned the company to achieve the highest metrics in the industry for customer service, quality and operational efficiencies. From October 1999 to October 2000, Bob served as Vice President, Global Operations for Wyle Systems, a worldwide value-added distribution company of computer products and electronic components. At Wyle, Bob supported over $1 billion in annual sales and managed all of the companies value added services including a major integration center in Phoenix plus facilities and logistics partners across the Pacific Rim, Europe, and the Americas. Bob holds a B.S. in Political Science from the University of Maryland.
Vice President
of Software Development
William Mar has served as our Vice President of Software Development since November 2005. Bill has over 30 years experience developing embedded and mobile software on hundreds of innovative devices from the SR-71 air-data sensors to the DualCor cPC mobile computer. He has deep development experience with most Microsoft embedded and mobile software products from early DOS through Windows CE/Mobile. From November 1994 to October 2005, Bill founded and operated Special Computing, an embedded system integrator that worked with the Microsoft Embedded/Mobile Division. Special Computing is a partner with many industry leaders, but is perhaps best known for its Windows CE/PC reference platform initiatives, as well as its various unique drivers and training programs for Windows CE platforms. Bill has been awarded the distinction of Microsoft embedded MVP (Most Valuable Professional) and has presented talks at several Microsoft embedded conferences. Bill holds a B.S.E.E in Computer Engineering from the University of Southern California.
Vice President, Finance and Administration / Corporate Controller
Harvard Sung has served as our Vice President, Finance and Administration/Corporate Controller since February 2006. Harvard has over 25 years of finance, administrative, corporate governance and operations experience. From April 2005 to December 2005, Harvard served as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President, Finance and from October 2004 to March 2005, Harvard served as Vice President, Finance and Administration/Corporate Controller for Reliant Technologies, an aesthetic medical laser company. From January 2002 to September 2004, Harvard served as Vice President, Finance and Administration at Bermai, Inc., a wireless semiconductor company. From November 2000 to December 2001, Harvard served as Director of Finance at nBand Communications, Inc., a wireless video chip maker. From December 1999 to October 2000, Harvard served as the Corporate Controller for Sierra Atlantic, Inc., a service provider for integration of enterprise and e-business applications. Harvard's accomplishments include Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, IPO and subsequent SEC reporting compliance, acquisitions, and multiple working capital and debt financings. Harvard holds an M.B.A. in Corporate Finance from Golden Gate University and a B.A. in Business Economics from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
